Damage Policy

 DAMAGE POLICY


Inspection Upon Arrival: Upon the arrival of your order, it’s important to inspect all items for any potential damage incurred during transit. While it's common for shipping cartons to show some wear, significant damage to the items inside should be addressed immediately.


Steps to Follow in Case of Damage:

  1. Note Any Damage or Missing Items: If you discover any damaged or missing materials, it's crucial to note these on the driver's bill of lading. This step is essential - failure to record such issues on the delivery receipt will prevent us from being able to file a claim with the carrier or to provide replacements or refunds for the affected items.
  2. Retain Documentation and Damaged Goods: Keep all relevant paperwork, packaging, and damaged items. These materials become the property of the freight carrier once a claim is filed.
  3. Never Refuse Delivery: Even if some items are damaged, accept the delivery of undamaged cartons. Refusing delivery or failing to accept undamaged items will result in charges for return shipping and a handling fee of up to 35% or as per the freight carrier's guidelines.
  4. Report Unnoticed Damages: In case you find damages after the delivery, report them to SnellFlooring.com within 3 days of the delivery. Coverage is extended only for damages noted on the driver’s bill of lading at the time of delivery.
